In the afternoon, a trip to Hellbrunn, the summer residence of the former Archbishop Marcus Sittikus.

The palace is a cultural jewel with the buildings, gardens and especially the trick water fountains.

A tour through the fountains, grottos and mechanical theater brings you many surprises and a lot of fun.

After a walk through the park, we travel back to the city.

In the evening you’ll become more closely acquainted with Salzburg’s most famous son at the Mozart Dinner Concert.

You’ll be transported back to Mozart’s time and spend the evening by candlelight eating and listening to some of his most famous pieces in one of the most beautiful halls in the city. An unforgettable end to the day.

Day 3: Salzburg

Save the morning for the brooding landmark of the city – the Hohensalzburg fortress. Inspecting the defenses of the castle will take you back to the Middle Ages and you can enjoy the unforgettable panorama of the city and the surrounding countryside with the Alps in the background.

After a short snack in the castle tavern, you’ll head back down into the city with the cable railway.

Now we suggest an excursion across the border to Germany. A visit to the 500 year old salt mine is really worth the effort.

The trip takes you along the Königsee river into the romantic Bavarian Alps to the salt mine.

Change into the protective clothing that the miners used to wear, then down you go into the depths. Wooden slides take you ever farther into the magic of the tunnels and underground beauties. You’ll hear thrilling and exiting tales from the world of the miners and ride on a raft over the salt lake. A journey on the mine’s railway rounds off this interesting and informative excursion.

Afterwards you can recover from your exertions in a local restaurant in Berchtesgaden with Bavarian specialities.

Every day must come to an end, and you journey back to Salzburg with many new impressions.
